Mediators are trained and experienced in dispute resolution. They are neutrals who help the parties explore options to resolve the problem and, often, find an outcome that is preferred to that of the court. The mediator does not act as either party's lawyer or a judge and does not give legal advice, but rather helps the parties resolve or narrow their issues within the framework of the law. |
