Tony has acted as litigation counsel for over 25 years and has participated in hundreds of mediations as both mediator and counsel. Early in his career, much of Tony’s practice focused on advancing subrogated claims for a major insurance company. Over time, the focus progressed to primarily personal injury, property, disability and insurance litigation.
Tony received his law degree from Queen's University in 1995 and was called to the Bar in 1997. He is a 2016 graduate of the Harvard University Mediation Program and has completed mediation and alternative dispute resolution courses at Queen's University, the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and the Brdges Academy.
Tony is a member of The Canadian Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. He is on also on the list of roster mediators for Ontario and sits as a Toronto roster mediator, Ottawa roster mediator and Windsor roster mediator. He also sits as a Deputy Judge of the Ontario Small Claims Court, adjudicating civil law matters.
In addition to mediations, Tony has appeared as counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal, the Canada Pension Plan Appeals Board, and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.
