Video Mediations |
Sometimes it's not an option to have all the parties together in a conference room.
Zuber Mediation is pleased to offer Video Conference Mediations. All participants attend the mediation conference, but by video rather than in-person. No travel is necessary. Instead of everyone convening in the same physical location, the participants join an online meeting. All that is required is a high-speed internet connection and a device with a built in microphone and video camera. Most laptops, cell phones and tablets will work. Our office will provide a link to join the conference and the participants may appear from their homes or offices. Like an in-person mediation, we begin together in the main meeting and, following opening remarks, the parties are moved to separate breakout to caucus privately. For the caucus sessions, the Mediator moves from one video breakout room to the other by joining and then leaving each video meeting room. Counsel and their client may confer privately when the Mediator leaves the caucus room. We set up the rooms to mimic the rooms at our office: A plaintiff's breakout room, a defendant's breakout room and, if deemed helpful, an additional room for discussions between lawyers. |
